Almost one in five Australian small businesses believe they could get more out of their employees but, to do so, need help with managing human resources and employee performance, according to new research from Westpac.
More than half of the SMEs surveyed by Westpac do not use any external resources to better manage their employees, and spend less than $100 a year on external resources.
To help small business tackle these issues, Westpac has teamed up with external human resources service provider Workforce HQ – developed by the Australian Human Resources Institute – to allow Westpac small business customers easy access to a specialised people management service at a discounted price.
Westpac’s small-business customers will receive a 20 per cent discount on their Workforce HQ subscription.
Services provided under the Workforce HQ subscription include access to information and resources, people management templates, 24-hour email support, a compliance management tool, easy access to visa and police checks, people-management training courses and employment practice insurance cover for a maximum of 25 staff members.
The annual subscription fee is normally $499, but is offered to Westpac customers for $400 for the life of the subscription.
